The Legendary Classic MEERA ( TAMIL) was released in 1945.
It had brilliant acting and glorious songs by Smt.M.S.Subbulakshmi.
She was 29 then and it was her fourth film co-produced with her husband and guide Sri.T.Sadasivam.(after Sevasadhanam(1938), Sakunthalam (1940), Savithri(1941).)
For many decades after 1950, the film was not screened anywhere. or if at all, rarely.
The film was remade in Hindi and released in 1947.

He then realizes that a divine person is about to appear in the area. He goes from village to village , searching for such a divine arrival.
